The Second Line Project For The Batira - Fajr - Al Bdeir Road, With a Length of (52.35) Km
Scope of Work :
A contract has been executed with the Ministry of Construction, Housing, and Public Municipalities - Department of Roads and Bridges to execute the project for establishing the second line of the (Batira - Fajr - Al Budair) road in Missan Governorate, as part of the Ministry's investment plan for 2021.
The road spans a length of 52 km and is 8.25 m wide. It links the southern governorates (Missan, Dhi Qar, and Diwaniyah) to Highway No. 1, section 5. The project encompasses the construction of four bridges and bridged intersections, including the Al-Gharraf bridge (148 meters long), the two Al-Maleh bridges, and the intersection with Al-Fajr Bridge (382 meters long) within Dhi Qar Governorate. Additionally, it involves the construction of the general Al-Masab Bridge within Al-Diwaniyah Governorate. The roadworks consists of a sub-base in two layers, each 20 cm thick, followed by a layer of "Stabilizer coarse" treated with spray (Prime coat), and an asphalt concrete wearing course treated with polymer to withstand heavy loads. The bridge works involve pillar excavation, column cap pouring, shoulder work, and the implementation of culverts, along with other related project tasks.
